The greyhound track on Oxford Road in Reading was situated at 1° 0' W 51° 27' N. The circumference of the track was a massive 526 yards making it one of the largest in the country. It raced under NGRC rules, was operational in the early 1930s and was first owned by Clapton Stadium Ltd. It ran Standard races over 400 yards, distance races over 550 yards and extended races over both 600 yards and 775 yards. Before the War it also ran races over 400 yards and hurdle races over 600 yards.

It closed for racing on 1st January 1974 and Reading had to wait a year before the new track on Bennet Road opened.
